tape error

Hi ,

    I have an error when running physical inventory , only first few tapes are identified rest its giving I/O error..

find it in attachment, Can you let me know why is this happening....

Q. Why are you running a physical inventory ?

It is normal NetBackup behaviour to simply perform a 'inventory'.
e.g. vmupdate -rt tld -rn <robot number> -use_barcode_rules -empty_map

A physical inventory will load each media into a drive and perform a read of the tape header.
If you are performing a physical inventory, I assume (or at least hope) the media has already been written to by some other (BackupExec is the only one that comes to mind) application..
