You need to install Windows Tape drivers to suit the drive type. Try the IBM and Oracle web sites. Sent from my iPad On Nov 8, 2011, at 20:15, "sonata1986 [via MHVTL - Linux Virtual Tape Library - Community Forums]"<[hidden email]> wrote:

Mark Harvey, thanks for your reply. But I will tell you, in China a lot of foreign websites are not connected. So could you pass me the Windows Tape drivers from the gmail? Thanks...

There is no "mhvtl" specific Windows Tape Driver.
The 'mhvtl' is designed to emulate real hardware to a level that use of the Vendors own tape drivers will work. i.e. If you emulate an IBM LTO tape drive, use the IBM Tape Drivers. If you emulate an STK T10000, use Oracle STK/T10000 tape drivers. If you emulate a SONY AIT, use Sony AIT tape drivers. The only one I haven't emulated is DLT (I have trouble finding correct documentation). Cheers Mark |

You mean to say in China, you really can't access website like www.ibm.com, www.oracle.com ? How about trying www.ibm.ch or www.oracle.ch ! -nia |

Hello nia. Yes, I can access website like www.ibm.com, www.oracle.com, but I can not download the drivers. Could you pass me the drivers?(IBM-ULT3580, STK-T10000B). "zhanghenglovell@gmail.com" is my gmail. Thanks...

Dear nia:
Thanks a lot. The issue is resolved. I changed the ULT3580 to ULTRIUM in /etc/mhvtl/device.conf. |
