how to duplicate VMware image with mhvtl

thangTT
Hello,

I'm using the vmware image of Marekk from http://www.multiupload.com/88S4DGT3HZ, I'm testing it with Netbackup
when I duplicate the image to 2 copies then connect these 2 vtl to Netbackup, hoping that I can have 2 separate vtl but it seems not work like that
seems that I have to change the internal vtl serial number somewhere so that Netbackup can see these two vtl, otherwise it's two identical one
please give me some idea to do that
(I already change IP address of that VM, change iSCSI target name)

thanks

Thang

Have you looked in /etc/mhvtl/device.conf ? You can change serial numbers there ..

Hi n.i.a

I edited the file as following
in each line with the "Unit serial number:", I changed XYZZY_A to XYZZY_B or XYZZY_A1 to XYZZY_B1,...
and changed the media label in library_contents_10.....then it worked

Thanks

Thang
