can you run these manually from under your www root directory:

scripts/check_before_use.sh testphp
scripts/check_before_use.sh testsudo
scripts/check_before_use.sh testmhvtl
scripts/check_before_use.sh testlsscsi
scripts/check_before_use.sh testmt
scripts/check_before_use.sh testmtx

also this:

cat /tmp/test.required.components.*

did you cd to the mhvtl-gui directory ?

example, mine is under /var/www/html/mhvtl-gui

I can't see any information as to the type of tape drives configured.

However media with a barcode of 'DD....S3' will be automagically defined as DLT600 media.

I would recommend not using DLT type drives as the documentation is close to useless for these drives - hence emulation is also close to useless..

Use IBM 03592, IBM LTO, STK T10000, STK9x40, AIT 1,2,3,4, HP LTO drive types instead.

Cheers

You will see this if your mhvtl device.conf does not have the new fifo pipe option or mhvtl unable to create. By default, mhvtl creates fifo pipe under /var/tmp/mhvtl

Can you run the following:

ls -al  /var/tmp/mhvtl
cat /var/tmp/mhvtl

Also, does the GUI login screen comes up now ? to indicate that all required components are verified OK ?

Do you have sudo setup per documentation ?

confirm NetBackup can see the devices using 'tpautoconf -t' and 'tpautoconf -r'
or scan.

If these utils report the drives, just configure NetBackup like you would with any devices (device configuration wizard)
